How Much Do Japan's Game CPE Payouts Move in a Week? October 2026, Week 5

Two findings from Rocket Ads' count of 43 Japanese game CPE campaigns on October 28, 2026: one idle RPG raised its top payout 44.8% in a week while one 4X strategy campaign cut its own by 49.8%

How much do Japan's game CPE payouts move in a single week? Among the 43 game and app CPE campaigns listed on Japanese reward media on October 28, 2026 (Rocket Ads' own count), 39 were also listed a week earlier, and 12 of those changed their top payout. Fate War cut its top payout in half, down 49.8%, while Tsue to Ken no Densetsu (杖と剣の伝説) raised its own by 44.8%. Both moves landed in the same week. Across all 43 campaigns the median top payout was about $68, and 67% use a tiered reward structure.

Methodology: Compiled by Rocket Ads by aix Inc. on October 28, 2026, from 43 game and app CPE campaigns listed on major Japanese reward media, compared against the same count on October 21, 2026. Payouts are the highest listed amount per campaign across media, which for tiered campaigns is the sum of all tiers, converted at $1 = 158.0 yen (158.6 yen a week earlier). Amounts limited to a single affiliate link are excluded. Media names are shown as Media A, B and C.

Four campaigns were newly listed: Blade War: Three Kingdoms (ブレードウォー三国, 4X strategy), Arknights: Endfield (RPG, listed again after dropping off a week earlier), Smash Party (スマッシュパーティ, action shooter) and Working Heroes (ワーキングヒーローズ, RPG).

Two campaigns either left the list or currently have no media carrying them.

Among the 39 campaigns listed in both weeks, 8 raised their top payout, 4 lowered it and 27 left it unchanged.

The median top payout fell 1.7% in yen terms, from 10,988 yen to 10,800 yen. In dollars it moved from about $69 to about $68, which also reflects the exchange rate shift from 158.6 to 158.0 yen.

RPG listings rose from 5 to 7.

How much do payouts move in a week?

Of the 39 campaigns listed in both weeks, 27 of them, or 69%, kept exactly the same top payout. Only 12 changed. The ones that did move, though, did not move slightly.

Campaigns listed in both weeks whose top payout moved by 10% or more, in yen.

Large moves are concentrated in a few campaigns. Of the 12 that changed, only 6 moved by more than 10%. The rest shifted by under 7%, several by less than 1%.

The direction did not lean one way. A campaign that raised its payout by more than 40% and a campaign that cut its payout in half appeared in the same week. This was not the whole market moving together. Individual campaigns moved on their own.

The largest campaigns did not move at all. The highest payout on the list, Tenchi Eiyuden (天地英雄伝) at 378,078 yen, and the second highest, Puzzles and Chaos at 89,108 yen, are unchanged from a week earlier. Puzzles and Chaos raised its payout sharply the week before and has held it since.

There is a practical point here. If you benchmark against competing campaigns, it is worth checking how old the figure is. For most campaigns a week-old number is still accurate. For the few that move, such as the campaign that halved this week, a week-old number will put your own pricing well off.

How much do CPE campaigns pay by genre?

By Rocket Ads' count (October 28, 2026), the median top payout was about $152 for 4X strategy, about $109 for idle RPGs and about $100 for management sims.

Six other genres (1 each)6~$1016.51-7 hrs

Six other genres: reward app, puzzle, casual sim, board game, tower defense, action shooter.

4X strategy: first in both campaign count (13) and payout size. Blade War: Three Kingdoms (ブレードウォー三国) joined this week at about $66. As the weekly movement above shows, individual campaigns inside this genre still move in both directions.

Idle RPG: the longest median completion time at 22 days. The median rose from about $95 to about $109 this week, which comes from the increase at Tsue to Ken no Densetsu (杖と剣の伝説).

RPG: four of the seven are login or light-mission campaigns at about $1 to $6, and the rest are chapter-clear, level or rank targets. The newly listed Working Heroes (ワーキングヒーローズ) sets a 60-day deadline with a user rank target, at about $64.

Live streaming apps: all four complete in two to three days, treating the first-use experience such as finishing the tutorial as the conversion event. ColorSing rose 42.5% this week, the largest increase in the genre.

Which campaigns are getting attention this week?

Selection criteria (Rocket Ads, October 28, 2026): the five highest top payouts among campaigns completable within four days, of which there are 13, and the five highest top payouts overall.

13 of the 43 campaigns, or 30%, are completable within four days, one more than a week earlier.

Arknights: Endfield returned to the list this week and is listed on iOS only. Its first tier is reachable in two days.

Kingshot keeps its 10-day deadline and four-day first tier at the same payout as a week earlier.

Top payouts are the sum of every tier. Completion days reflect the milestone most participants treat as a realistic target, such as reaching building level 17.

Four of the top five are 4X strategy games, and all five are tiered.

The top five are identical to a week earlier in order and in amount. The campaign just below them, Last Asylum (ラストアサイラム), rose from about $144 to about $185 and narrowed the gap.

Tenchi Eiyuden (天地英雄伝) pays about 4.2 times the second-highest campaign. Its headline milestone is clearing chapter 3, and the top payout is the total for completing every tier beyond that point.

How do iOS and Android payouts differ?

Of the 43 campaigns, 6 set different payouts by OS or ran on only one OS (Rocket Ads, October 28, 2026).

GameiOS top payoutAndroid top payoutGap
Coin Master$101$30~3.4x
Last Asylum (ラストアサイラム)$185$115~1.6x
Hero Wars: Alliance$184$135~1.4x
Arknights: Endfield$25–iOS only
Houchi Shoujo (放置少女)–$14Android only
Smash Party (スマッシュパーティ)–$7Android only

Campaigns with an OS payout gap of 25% or more, or listed on a single OS.

All three campaigns in the table that run on both stores pay more on iOS. That is not a general rule. Among campaigns whose gap fell under the 25% threshold and so are not shown here, Viking Rise pays about 21% more on Android, and Top War and END OF FUTURE also pay more on Android.

Single-OS campaigns rose from one a week earlier to three, because both of the newly listed games run on one store only.

Only 14% of campaigns split their payout by OS. The rest list the same amount on both stores.

Which media show the highest payouts?

Across the 43 campaigns, Media A listed the highest payout for 17 of them and Media B for 16 (Rocket Ads, October 28, 2026).

MediaCampaigns with highest payoutOct 21, 2026
Media A1718
Media B1614
Media C67
Five other media1110

Where the top iOS and Android media differ, or where media tie, both are counted. The column therefore adds up to more than 43.

Media A still leads, but Media B went from 14 to 16 and the gap narrowed to a single campaign. A week earlier it was four.

The top two media hold most of the first places, and the remaining six media account for 23 between them.

Because the same campaign shows a different amount on each media, one media's figures are not enough to judge the market rate.

Measurement conditions, the same every week

Japanese reward media give five common conditions: enter through the default browser (Safari or Chrome), state that the offer is for new installs only, allow App Tracking Transparency on iOS, open the app within an hour of installing, and avoid installing on public Wi-Fi. Writing these into the campaign notice reduces both measurement gaps and user enquiries. We covered the reasoning behind each in earlier reports.

Summary

Of the 39 campaigns listed in both weeks, 27 kept the same top payout and 12 changed. A campaign that halved its payout, Fate War at -49.8%, and one that raised it by 44.8%, Tsue to Ken no Densetsu (杖と剣の伝説), appeared in the same week (Rocket Ads, October 28, 2026).

67% of Japan's game CPE campaigns use a tiered structure in the fifth week of October 2026, and the median top payout across all 43 is about $68.

4X strategy leads in both campaign count (13) and median top payout (about $152), and takes four of the top five payouts. The top of the list did not move this week, so the change came from the middle.
