More Than Half of Japan's Game CPE Campaigns Repriced This Week

How many of Japan's game CPE campaigns changed price in a single week? Among the 44 game and app CPE campaigns listed on Japanese reward media on November 4, 2026 (Rocket Ads' own count), 43 were also listed a week earlier, and 23 of those — 53% — changed their top payout. A week earlier the figure was 12 of 39. Fourteen went up, nine came down, and the median top payout across all 44 campaigns is about $65.

Data: Rocket Ads internal tracking of 44 game and app CPE campaigns listed on major Japanese reward media, November 4, 2026, compared with the October 28, 2026 snapshot. Figures are the top listed user reward per campaign, summed across all steps — not an advertiser rate. Converted at $1 = ¥158.2, the rate on the collection date (¥158.0 a week earlier). Partner-link-only amounts are excluded. Media names are withheld. Listed rewards change at the media’s discretion.

What changed in Japan's CPE market this week?

One campaign was newly listed: Mabinogi Mobile (マビノギモバイル, RPG). Every campaign counted a week earlier is still listed, so the total moved from 43 to 44.

Of the 43 carried over, 14 raised their top payout, 9 lowered it and 20 held. The median across all 44 fell from ¥10,800 to ¥10,260, a drop of 5.0%. The exchange rate barely moved — ¥158.0 to ¥158.2 — so the change from about $68 to about $65 comes almost entirely from the yen figures.

The share using a step-up structure is 66% (29 of 44), and 75% set their headline condition at a difficulty of “moderate” or above. Both are within a point of last week. RPG listings rose from seven to eight.

Where did the repricing happen?

Seven campaigns moved their top payout by 20% or more.

Campaigns listed in both weeks with a change of 20% or more, in yen. Rocket Ads internal tracking, November 4, 2026.

The increases clustered at the small end. All three campaigns that rose by 20% or more now sit below ¥3,000 (about $19). IRIAM and ColorSing are both live-streaming apps, and together they lifted that genre's median from about $9 to about $13.

The decreases came from the ¥10,000 band. All four that fell by 20% or more were priced between ¥10,000 and ¥16,000 a week earlier.

Tsue to Ken no Densetsu (杖と剣の伝説) has now moved twice in a row — up 44.8% last week, down 26.6% this week. Its payout is being reset weekly rather than held.

The top of the list moved this time as well. Puzzles and Chaos rose from ¥89,108 to ¥97,179 (+9.1%) and Top War from ¥44,755 to ¥46,431 (+3.7%). A week earlier the top five were unchanged across the board.

If a competitor's listed payout is your reference point, note that in a week like this one more than half the list repriced. Check the collection date alongside the number.

4X strategy leads on both listings (13) and payout. Its median moved from about $152 to about $136, and the campaign at the median position shows why the direction can mislead. Viking Rise (ヴァイキングライズ) lost its Android listing this week, and that listing had been the higher of its two at ¥23,977. Its iOS figure actually rose, from ¥19,766 to ¥21,557. The campaign's top payout still fell 10.1%, because the higher of the two platforms is no longer listed.

Idle RPG keeps the longest median completion time at 22 days. Its median moved from about $109 to about $97 after the Tsue to Ken no Densetsu (杖と剣の伝説) adjustment.

RPG has eight listings, five of them login, reward-collection or early-progress missions at about $2 to $5. The newly listed Mabinogi Mobile (マビノギモバイル) sets a 3-day deadline with a 1-day milestone at 10 to 30 minutes of play, the shortest completion time on this week's list, at about $3.

Live-streaming apps all close in two to three days, and two of the four rose by more than 40% this week.

Which campaigns are getting attention this week?

Selection: from Rocket Ads' November 4, 2026 count, the five highest payouts among campaigns with a milestone within four days, then the five highest payouts overall.

Fourteen of the 44 campaigns (32%) put their milestone within four days, one more than a week earlier; the addition is Mabinogi Mobile (マビノギモバイル). The five names are the same as last week, with Lords Mobile falling from third to fourth after its 28.0% cut and Pococha moving up. Four of the five are step-up structures that open with a milestone inside four days and continue from there.

Top payout is the sum of all steps in a step-up campaign. The milestone is the headline condition, for example reaching facility level 17.

Four of the five are 4X strategy titles and all five are step-up structures. The order has held for three weeks. Tenchi Eiyuden (天地英雄伝) lists about 3.9 times the second-place figure; its headline condition is clearing chapter three, and the amount is the total if every later step is also completed. Sixth and seventh place are a dollar apart — Last Asylum (ラストアサイラム) at about $186 and Hero Wars: Alliance at about $185.

How do iOS and Android payouts differ?

Eight of the 44 campaigns (18%) either price the two platforms at least 25% apart or list on one platform only, up from six a week earlier.

GameiOSAndroidGap
Coin Master$101$30iOS ~3.4×
Komori no Yado Rarara (小森の宿ららら)$6$16Android ~2.5×

Viking Rise (ヴァイキングライズ)$136–iOS only
Arknights: Endfield$25–iOS only
Houchi Shoujo (放置少女)–$14Android only
Smash Party (スマッシュパーティ)–$7Android only

Campaigns with a platform gap of 25% or more, or listed on a single platform.

This week an Android-higher campaign crossed the 25% line for the first time in this series: Komori no Yado Rarara (小森の宿ららら) raised only its Android figure, to about 2.5 times iOS. Below the threshold, END OF FUTURE (Android about 22% higher), Nobunaga's Ambition: Shinsen (信長の野望 真戦), Lords Mobile and Fate War (フェイトウォー) also list higher on Android. Single-platform listings rose from three to four, with Viking Rise (ヴァイキングライズ) dropping its Android listing.

Which media show the highest payouts?

MediaTop-payout wins (this week)Last week
Media A1717
Media B1416
Media C56
Seven other media1711 (five media)

Where iOS and Android have different top media, or where two media tie, both are counted. The total therefore exceeds 44.

Media A held first place at 17 and its lead over Media B widened from one to three. The number of media taking at least one top spot rose from eight to ten, and wins outside the top three rose from 11 to 17. Top War and Fate War (フェイトウォー) each have a different top medium on iOS and on Android, which is why a single medium's figures are not a reading of the market rate.

Measurement conditions, the same every week

Japanese reward media share five conditions: enter through the default browser (Safari or Chrome), state that the campaign is for new installs only, enable “Allow Apps to Request to Track” on iOS, open the app immediately after installing, and avoid installing on public free Wi-Fi. Stating these in the campaign copy reduces both measurement loss and user enquiries.

Summary

Twenty-three of the 43 campaigns listed in both weeks changed their top payout, about double the previous week's 12 of 39 (Rocket Ads' own count, November 4, 2026).

The 14 increases came from small campaigns and from the top of the list, where Puzzles and Chaos rose 9.1%. The four cuts of 20% or more all came from the ¥10,000 band. The median top payout across all 44 is about $65, or ¥10,260.

4X strategy leads on listings (13) and on median payout (about $136) and holds four of the top five. Step-up structures account for 66% of the list.

Rocket Ads by aix Inc. publishes this count of Japanese local reward media every Thursday.
